Hi & welcome to our weekly blog intending to keep you all updated with what we’ve been up to in the week & a look ahead to the coming week on the beautiful island of Mallorca.
We were pleased to have a group of men & lady cyclists out this week of mixed abilities from the UK, Ireland & America. Not the best week weather wise, but we made the best of the cards we were dealt.
As always we cycled some fantastic routes this week with our clients. We visited Petra to climb Bonany, Betlem in Arta, Lluc, Sa Calobra, Sant Salvador & Cap de formentor.
Mixed weather conditions, but our clients loved every minute & it was a pleasure to have them cycle with us on some roads off the beaten track, as many clients past & present get to understand the knowledge owner Paul has, is the best on the island with his vast experience of almost 30 years on roads not even these fancy apps know about!
Also this week we had a fantastic ride out with Bike Sancho & some of the local Mallorca cyclists who are long term friends of Cycling Holiday Tours Mallorca & owner Paul. Starting in Son Servera, we cycled inland towards Palma. Relatively flat route with a total distance of 107km finishing off in Cala Millor.
Opening soon is our Cycling Sports Café on the beachfront in Cala Millor & this week we were able to get access to start the preparations. We have a new menu and a good vibe about the place this year, with Covid hopefully a distant memory. We look forward to welcoming cyclists & non-cyclists to the café to try out our new menu and sample some great food, coffee, cake and fine wine.
Looking ahead to this week we are excited to welcome more clients who are repeat clients from the UK, as well as new clients from Canada & the UK. More fantastic routes planned, that we will summarise next week.
We also plan to open the café on Tuesday this week and we can’t wait!
