Cycling Holiday Tour Mallorca Weekly Blog
July 11th 2022
Hi & welcome to our weekly blog intending to keep you all updated with what weโve been up to in the week & a look ahead to the coming week on the beautiful island of Mallorca.
This week was a great week, starting off on Monday with owner Paulโs birthday and a good ride planned (Father & Son) from Cala Millor to Randa (Cura) via Felantix and back via Petra and Arta. A great days cycling 150km, but the heat took its toll. Finished off on the evening with a nice family meal in Cala Rajada.
We cycled some fantastic routes as ever this week with clients from USA, Ireland & England. We rode from base in Cala Millor & from our clients location over in Port dโAndratx and Galilea. The routes this week passed Estellencs up the West coast, Puig Major (the pig), Lluc, Inca, Cap de Formentor to visit the lighthouse & La Victoria plus local routes as usual close to Cala Millor via Arta, Betlem, Son Servera, Sant Llorenc & Manacor.
On Saturday we parked at Port de Soller where we hopped on the boat to Cala Tuent. A beautiful trip up the West coast approx. 1 hour with stunning views. Getting off the boat we had a 3km climb & then a 1.5km descent to reach the Sa Calobra road, where we descended another 1.5km to the bottom of Sa Calobra ready for the epic 10km climb!!
This is deffinetaly a trip recommended for our future clients, as the boat trip & cycle route back to Port de Soller was amazing.
The Cycling Sports Cafรฉ on the beachfront in Cala Millor is open 7 days a week. We now open from 07:00 to 17:00 so people can enjoy the use of our paddle boards & kayak at sunrise. As always we welcomed cyclists & non-cyclists from all around the world to the cafรฉ whom have enjoyed sampling some great food, coffee, cake and fine wine from our new menu. Our Soup of the Day is also going down a treat โ GIN ๏
Looking ahead to this week it is relatively quiet again, but we do have cyclists over from USA & England who will be joining us on some of our tours.
We canโt wait for another great week here in Mallorca.
Thanks,
CHTM Team
